1. Introduction

Welcome to Milan Events Center, located in Bakersfield, California. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, including booking, hosting, and participation in events at our venue. By booking or attending an event at Milan Events Center, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1 Reservation and Deposit

To confirm a reservation, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The deposit amount and payment schedule will be outlined in your event agreement.

2.2 Payment Schedule

The remaining balance must be paid in full 14 days prior to the event date, as per the terms stated in your event contract. Failure to adhere to this payment schedule may result in cancellation of the event without refund of the deposit.

2.3 Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you need to cancel your booking, please refer to the following cancellation policy:
  • Your security deposit will not be refunded.
  • If you wish to reschedule your event for any reason, understand availability for a future date is not guaranteed.

3. Event Usage and Conduct

3.1 Use of the Venue

Milan Events Center is available for various types of events, including weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. Usage of the venue must comply with the purpose outlined in the event contract.

3.2 Event Timing

Events must adhere to the agreed-upon start and end times. Any requests for extended hours must be made in advance and are subject to availability and additional fees.

3.3 Behavior and Conduct

You and your guests must maintain appropriate behavior while using the venue. Milan Events Center reserves the right to remove any individual whose behavior is deemed inappropriate or disruptive. The event host is responsible for ensuring all guests comply with local, state, and federal laws, including but not limited to alcohol consumption, noise regulations, and occupancy limits.

4. Liability and Damages

4.1 Liability

Milan Events Center is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by you, your guests, or third-party vendors during the event. You agree to indemnify and hold Milan Events Center harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the event, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or third-party liability.

4.2 Damage to the Property

Any damage caused to Milan Events Center’s property by you, your guests, or third-party vendors will be your responsibility. Costs for repairs or replacement will be charged to the event host. A security deposit may be required and will be refunded post-event, provided no damage has occurred.

5. Third-Party Vendors

5.1 Approved Vendors

Milan Events Center works with a list of approved third-party vendors (e.g., caterers, decorators, AV technicians). You are welcome to choose vendors outside of our list, but they must comply with our venue’s standards and requirements. Milan Events Center reserves the right to deny access to any vendor who does not meet these standards.

5.2 Vendor Liability

All third-party vendors must provide proof of insurance before the event. Milan Events Center is not responsible for any vendor-related issues, including service quality, punctuality, or equipment functionality.

6. Alcohol and Catering

6.1 Alcohol Policy

If alcohol is served at your event, you must comply with all California state laws regarding alcohol consumption and service. You may be required to hire licensed bartenders, and all alcohol service must end 30 minutes before the event concludes.

6.2 Catering

All catering services must meet the food safety standards required by local health regulations. You may choose from our list of preferred caterers, or bring in an external caterer, subject to approval.

7. Compliance with Laws

You and your guests must comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including but not limited to fire safety, health regulations, and noise ordinances. Any fines or penalties incurred as a result of non-compliance will be the responsibility of the event host.

8. Force Majeure

Milan Events Center shall not be held liable for any delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or other emergencies. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule the event, subject to availability.

9. Privacy Policy

We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. Amendments

Milan Events Center reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or communicated via email. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
